Description
The L75 Pleco, scientifically known as Peckoltia sabaji, is a striking small-to-medium plecostemus ideal for established aquariums. This 5-6cm specimen displays the species' characteristic dark coloration with distinctive white or cream-colored spots and markings that intensify with maturity.
A nocturnal bottom-dweller, the L75 thrives in well-oxygenated tanks with plenty of driftwood, caves, and hiding spots. It grazes on algae wafers and sinking pellets while occasionally consuming soft algae from tank surfaces. Hardy and relatively peaceful, it coexists well with community fish but may become territorial toward other plecos in confined spaces.
Ideal water parameters include temperatures of 24–28°C, neutral to slightly acidic pH (6.0–7.0), and moderate to strong water flow. Provide a minimum 75-liter tank for a single specimen, with additional space if keeping multiple individuals. Regular water changes and quality filtration support long-term health and vibrant coloration.
A rewarding addition for hobbyists seeking an active, visually appealing pleco with manageable care requirements.
